Other Details Radstadt/Altenmarkt is in the middle of one of Austria's best and largest ski areas - Ski Amadé is a vast undiscovered ski playground and only a short drive from Salzburg airport. The collection of five regions is named in honour of the cities most famous son Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It is skiing on a grand scale a symphony of 860km of piste 270 lifts and 25 resorts. All of the areas are massive in their own right, Salzburg Sportwelt, Grossarltal, Schladming/Dachstein Tauern, Gastein and Hochkonigs Winterreich. It is impossible to ski them all on the same holiday but there is nothing to stop you trying!!!. Every single slope is on the same lift pass and access is so easy with Radstadt being in the centre of it all. Radstadt/Altenmarkt and the surrounding ski areas of Zauchesee and Flachau along with the city of Salzburg made the last three in the final of the race for the 2014 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games, which will tell you the quality of the pistes. For your summer holiday there is no place quite like Radstadt, Salzburgerland, Austria. if you and your family enjoy an active holiday, you really should give it a try. In summer time there is no end of things to do, my favourite is to enjoy long walks in the healthy alpine air of the Austrian mountains. There are many well signposted walks of both short and long in duration, if you decide to go on a longer walk maybe over 2 days or more you can book in at one of the many mountain huts on route for an overnight stay and enjoy typical Austrian entertainment and food. It is an experience not forgotten. For those of you who are keen golfers, Radstadt golf course is a fantastic championship course which also boasts a nine hole practise course as well as 2 driving ranges. Our apartment house is alongside the golf course overlooking hole number 12. Radstadt golf course is the only golf course with its own cable car, which you need to take after tee 11. This course is a must for keen golfers as well as beginners. The alpine views from the course are beautiful. For the cyclist this part of Austria is a bicyclist’s dream come true. There are many easy bike paths for families with children and for the more energetic there is the Tauern bike path which cuts through some of the world's most mountainous terrain, yet it’s almost all downhill. It passes through dozens of picturesque towns and villages, yet it stays almost totally clear of traffic. Instead it meanders through alpine meadows and woodland and along the banks of the Salzach River. And it’s clearly marked, signs at every turn, for worry-free riding. The path starts in Krimml, elevation 3,400 feet, and ends 100 miles and 2,000 vertical feet later in Salzburg. We can arrange to collect you and your bike at the end of the ride. For the more adventurous there is white water rafting, kayaking and canyoning, as well as nine tennis courts plus a tennis pavilion, two riding stables with indoor riding arenas and tracks, minigolf, asphalt curling, archery, climbing, biking and of course summer skiing on the Dachstein Glacier. | Recently Viewed: Chalet Barnard Aigle d'Or Flocon Des Neiges Haus Susana Edifici Areny Prat de la Velha Pension Hoffelner ISRA Eco Chalet Residencial El Tarter Chalet Jacqueline Haus Hislop Scratching Post Chalet Rila View Lodge Marmotte Mountain Hideawy Haus Lowe Haus Viktoria Wilsno Inn Le Vieux Chalet Le Bionnay Chalet Rozov Chalet Les Ecureuils Flocon De Neige Chez Moulton in Bansko Clear this list. |
