Haus Susanne- ( OS1058 )Our chalet, Haus Susanne, is situated in the town of Radstadt, within the heart of Salzburger Land and Ski Amade.
Haus Susanne is owned and run by Ben and Angela Turner. The family moved from Whitstable, England to take residence in Austria and promise to provide you with a memorable holiday in the Salzburg mountain ranges. The chalet offers double/family rooms all with ensuite facilities plus a small bunk room for the children. The chalet can accommodate parties of up to 10 adults and a further 6 children (0-15). Rooms can be booked on either a bed and breakfast basis or during our premium seasons, the whole chalet can be hired for a half board catered ski chalet package. Families are always welcome and we can easily accommodate children all year round. Weekend and long-weekend golf tours are available with all transfers and green fees included in the price! Bedroom Description Haus Susanne has 5 rooms with ensuite showering and toilet facilities. Each room offers stunning views across the valley and ski pistes, which can be appreciated from either inside or outside on the balcony. Each room has a double bed with twin mattresses and twin bedding. 3 of our rooms also contain a fold out single bed suitable for children or adults. Bunk beds can also be added to our largest rooms on request. There is also a small bunk room that is suitable for children but does not have ensuite facilities. Other Details Haus Susanne also offer sauna facilities. Our pine sauna gives you an excellent opportunity to relax after a hard day of mountain activities. The room also has an excellent shower room with multiple jets and, of course, an ice cold waterfall! Our log cabin is perfectly situated to view the stunning scenery and sunsets. Radstadt is in the heart of the Skialliance Amadé offering easy access to Austria's most extensive ski-pass. 860km of ski-piste with 270 lifts easily accessible by using the free ski-bus network. How can you not have an austrian-adventure? Pistes are well planned and offer great skiing for learners and beginners to the well seasoned. As Radstadt is situated in the heart of the Skialliance Amadé network it is easy to travel around the valleys either by snow or by the free and comprehensive ski bus network. We can help you arrange local Ski-hire with a specially arranged price, lessons at any local ski-school, and ski-passes. Radstadt is the home of Austria's longest floodlit family sledge run. In the evening families can travel up to the start of the 7 kilometre run in the 8 man gondola lift where you can launch yourselves onto a fun packed journey The Ski Amade lift pass contains the most skiing in Austria. Over 860km of Ski Piste! From the bottom of our road you can choose to ski Radstadt/Altenmarkt, Fageralm or Reiteralm. If you decide that you wish to travel further and really take advantage of your massive ski access then with a quick change of bus you could be skiing in Obertauern, Zauchensee, Flachau, Wagrain, Kleinarl or Flachau-Winkl. Why not try somewhere new every day? TRAVEL DETAILS: BY PLANE Salzburg's Mozart Airport is the closest to Radstadt. From here it is only a short 45min journey by car to reach us. There are 4 main choices of lo-cost flights, www.ryanair.com www.britishairways.com www.thompsonfly.com www.flybe.com. All offer cheap flights from different airports. TRANSFERS We strongly recommend you hiring a car as then you can really take advantage of the massive ski network available to you on the Ski Amade pass. We can arrange your transfers from Salzburg Airport using a local company for €40 per person. Alternatively Salzburg Airport have a good links page for transfer and taxi services available here ski-transfers-from-salzburg-airport CAR HIRE We recommend using Holiday Autos or Hertz as they often provide the cheapest option. One tip - remember to take the credit card that you booked the car with to the pick-up as they have to take a deposit using that card only BY TRAIN Travelling to Radstadt by train is quite easy! Once over the English Channel take a train from Calais to Kehl (Germany), then transfer from Kehl to Salzburg. Then it is just a local train fare to Radstadt. Fares from Calais to Salzburg are normally under £100 for 2nd class travel. Although we haven't tried the journey itself, we can recommend purchasing your tickets through Internationalrail.com as it is quick and simple. BY AUTOMOBLIE Radstadt is approximately 720 miles from Calais. By car it takes between 11- 13 hours and is mainly motorway driving. Below is a map from Salzburg to Radtsadt which is also suitable for transfers from the airport. - Take the A1 towards Villach and the A10 -Take the A10 towards Villach -After approximately 30 mins take Exit 63 towards Graz and Radstadt on the E651 -After approximately 5 mins take the filter into Radstadt then follow the local map.
