This is a family run business providing luxury catered accommodation in the beautiful village of Madjare. Madjare is located in the foothills of the stunning Rila Mountains of Bulgaria. The Rila Mountains being the highest mountain range on the Balkan Peninsular. Our lodge commands stunning views of the mountains, rivers and valleys. Quite and peaceful but still only 70km from Sofia and only 20 minutes drive from the international ski resort of Borovets. If you love the outdoors, whatever the season, our beautiful lodge is the perfect base for your winter or summer holidays. We aim to provide you with a relaxing, stress free holiday by taking care of you from the minute you land in Sofia, providing you with everything you require for a perfect revitalising holiday in the mountains. Our accommodation is spacious but homely and we will provide you with delicious home cooked food. We cater for groups, families, couples or those of you who just want to get away from it all. Whatever your reason for visiting Bulgaria we are confident we can provide you with a memorable stay. Kitchen Description The lodge contains a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals for our guests but this is for use by the owners only. There are tea/coffee making facilities with a sink in the second floor lounge area. Lounge Description The large lounge/dining area has a stone built fireplace has a central feature. There are sufficient settees and arm chairs to accommodate 10-people. For entertainment we have a TV with a satelite receiver and a DVD player. There is a CD player for those who prefer to relax by the fire and listen to their favourite music. When the lodge is fully occuppied there is a further lounge/relaxing area on the 2nd floor. Here you will find another TV with DVD player as well as tables for playing cards and board games. Dining Room Description The dining area has two large tables enabling 16 guests to dine comfortably. Bedroom Description All the 8-bedrooms are fitted out with either a double bed or two large single beds. The rooms are furnished with locally crafted pine wardrobes, sets of drawers and bedside cabinets. Each room has direct access on to a balcony from where you can have stunning views of the Rila Mountains, the village of Madjare or the Cerni Iskar river.
